This free site is a portal for trainee language teachers, and maybe older hands too, who would like to have a clearer understanding of what underpins the craft of language teaching. Each of the 12 themed sections contains links to useful online readings, videos and podcasts from a wide range of teachers and researchers.

Classroom second language learning is a highly complex, only partially understood activity. A teacher who is more aware of the key findings from research is likely to be a more critical and skilled practitioner.
